Microsoft has revealed a number of tools for software developers to create applications for Windows Phone 7. Most of them are modified versions of the standard Microsoft developer tools. Some of the tools are Visual Studio 2010 RC, XNA Game Studio 4.0, Windows Phone 7 Series Emulator for application testing, and Expression Blend for Windows Phone.
By extending their PC development tools to the WP 7, Microsoft hopes to maintain a constant environment for developers of all its products. Microsoft also plans to open a new app’s store Windows Phone Marketplace, wherein developers can create apps for WP 7 and market them in the store.
