Yahoo Search, the world’s second largest search engine has released two search apps for the iPhone.
The first app is called Yahoo Search which is a search engine optimized for the mobile. This app goes beyond just searching; it contains movie reviews, stock quotes, voice search, and integration with Google Maps. Location-based search results are among the key features of this app.
Sketch-a-Search is the second, more interesting app from Yahoo. Through this app you can sketch a shape on a Google map and this will enable a search of restaurants based in that area. Yahoo will need to buck up their promotional activities in order to stay ahead in the app race.
