On February 26, Google announced that it if your website isn’t mobile friendly, your mobile search rankings are likely to crash.
On AprilÂ 23, Facebook revealed that 73% of its revenue now comes from mobile ads, and that more than a billion Facebook searches EVERY DAY are on mobile platforms.
It’s rare for search and social to agree on anything, but both market leaders have complete emphasis on mobile.
Google’s new update is being called Mobilegeddon by some, and with good reason. With 60% of online traffic now on the mobile web, this could affect millions of websites. Small businesses and local enterprises are estimated to be the worst hit, as localised searches would pass them by. However, it is predicted that many large brands too have websites that are not optimised.

If not, there’s no way you can live with it. Mobile enabling companies like us are of course going all out to put upÂ Facebook posts on this to encourage new customers to talk to them about the mobile strategy that is required by most websites today.
